30 Aug 2011 from Two day event over August 30th and 31st to Full day event at the Augustine Centre, 2 Minona Street, Hawthorn, Victoria
On June 10th 2009 internationally acknowledged resilience community leadership facilitator Meg Wheatley joined 10 community leaders and colleagues from the Kinglake Ranges for a dinner at Docklands to share and discuss our experience of disaster response and disaster relief, and and out initial disaster recovery and reconstruction efforts.
After that initial meeting, Meg continued to work with multistakers to broaden and deepen local network-based community development through enabling leadersdhip at the local level. Now Meg Wheatley and Angela Blanchard return to lead a transformational resilience seminar.
International resilience thought leader Meg Wheatley says, "Having to anticipate and deal with ongoing surprise, uncertainty, volatility and havoc is the new normal."
Daryl Taylor, member of the Kinglake Ranges Community Recovery Committee said, "Communities that are exposed to natural disasters need to prepare for both events and recovery. This seminar goes to the heart of the importance of community-scaled preparedness."
