Rebuilding Green: Retrofit for resilience

Strathewen & St Andrews Sustainable Rebuilding Project invites you to attend one or all of a series of workshops for 2012, designed to assist owner builders and renovators to make their homes as energy efficient as possible.

 

Workshop #6: Retrofitting your home & landscape to be better protected from bushfires

 

Topics covered:

  • How does fire travel and behave?
  • What are the common 'weak points' for your home or garden/landscape surrounds?
  • How can you retro-fit your home to be better protected from bushfires?
  • How can you design and manage your surrounding landscape to be better protected from
    bushfires?

 

This will be an interactive workshop with discussions about all manner of ways you can increase sustainability in your home. All workshops will be practical in focus, with the aim to show you a range of options for your home so you are better informed to make choices that match your solution. Information sheets will be provided with further resources for attendees.
