When we ran into Billy in the backroads of Flowerdale it could not have been scripted better.

There he was, around the corner from the Strath Creek Reserve supported by Landcare, wheeling rubbish and recycling bins as he cleaned up bits of rubbish left behind.

Billy is a long time and much loved resident of Flowerdale.

When Prince William visited Flowerdale and the community gathering was closely managed for security and comfort, Billy was famously left out because he arrived late.

Such is the mark of Billy's respect in the community that organisers refused to start the event until he was let in.
